BigSkyFreedom is FREE, INDEPENDENT, DEMOCRATIC, AUTONOMOUS, OPEN TO ALL, ASSOCIATIVE, PARTICIPATORY, NON-ORGANIZED, NON-INSTITUTIONAL, NON-DENOMINATIONAL, NON-HIERARCHICAL, NON-COERCIVE/OBLIGATORY, NONSECTARIAN – it follows the tradition of SATYA-TRUTH POWER and AMHIMSA-NON-VIOLENCE.

You are most welcome to join us at any of our events.

1. The only authority BigSkyFreedom recognizes are the values and principles embodied in our practice.
2. BigSkyFreedom is peer led. Any 'organizer' or 'meditation leader' is there to serve the group association that assembles at the Event – they do not govern.
3. The primary purpose, mission or strategy of BigSkyFreedom is to practice embodying its values and principles through its meditative practice.
4. BigSkyFreedom is TOTALLY FREE and NON-PROFESSIONAL. It is nonaffiated, nonincorporated, nonassociated and is not sponsored or endorsed. Money, prestige, property and personal, individual political interests, agendas and enterprises are not a part of BigSkyFreedom.
5. BigSkyFreedom is self-supporting.
6. BigSkyFreedom is not interested in conversion or self-promotion but in selflessly serving and healing.
7. BigSkyFreedom must remain open, non-organized, anonymous and selfless. Individual personalities and agendas must not manipulate or stand before our core values and principles.
8. BigSkyFreedom supports the creation of other independent chapters or assemblies of 'BigSkyFreedom' - providing they adhere to the values and principles outlined in this Mission Statement.

BigSkyFreedom takes place as a real, not just virtual, community at our FREEDOM SITS. The EVENTS – are a 1 hour outside communal silent meditation sit or session at a planned location.

Respect the intent, the method and the time and space of the Event. These events are not the occasion to indulge or advocate your personal or group politics, religion, spiritual tradition, agendas, negativity, theories, obsessions, fantasies or sects.

Our Freedom Sits are not the place to analyze, discuss or argue: the nature, function, traditions, histories, merits, drawbacks, links, divergences and strategies of Buddhism or Anarchism or Anarcho-Buddhism or non-violence or activism or meditation. This is not the place for chatter, theoretical musings or debate – for opinions and the conflict between words. For those interested, there is always another time and place for this.

BigSkyFreedom's 'Propaganda of the Deed' so to speak is our FREE meditative sit. The Freedom Sit is not an idea but a way of living.

Our only 'Rules' for our Freedom Sit Events are those based on care, tolerance, consideration and mutual respect for one another, that we be able to meditate freely together. Please do not offer advice or criticize, distract, divert or 'act out' during the Freedom Sit.

We feel that it is important to stress that the only kinds of flags or symbols we will allow to be 'officially' outwardly displayed are the flags and/or symbols of BigSkyFreedom and the black & white flag/star of Anarcho-Pacifism. These flags or symbols will assure our Event of Freedom, Safety and Neutrality in regards to other views or positions. They will open up and hold the free symbolic space we need in order to hold our Freedom Sit. Please respect this and do not compromise or hijack our space.
