To Awaken. To Inspire. To Reveal

Place enter the space of the Freedom Sit silently and mindfully and make yourself comfortable. As you do not have to attend each or even any of the events, you do not have to stay for the whole length of the Freedom Sit. If you do choose to leave early or enter late, please do so quietly and respectfully on one of the quarter-hour marks.

As we will be sitting outside, please dress according to the weather and for your health and comfort. You may sit on the ground, bring a cushion, bench or chair. If it is dirty, muddy or raining bring appropriate raingear, umbrella, tarp to sit on etc. If it is too sunny, bring appropriate sunwear.

We will start each Freedom Sit with a private, pure motivation

Participants will then choose one of the following meditation practices. Participants may also choose to pray silently or even just sit/stand silently and respectively in contemplation.

Each quarter hour of the sit will be marked [bell, chimes, etc.] and you may take a short break or pause in your practice re-center yourself.

May everyone be happy
May everyone be free of suffering
May no one ever be separated from their happiness
May everyone have equanimity, free from hatred and attachment
